Chin Down is a Korean streetwear brand that aims to express the motifs of daily life. Founded in 2019, by Juno Song, Junsu Seen, and Chan Kim, the three brought their vision of an easy-going clothing brand to life; inspired by the function and beauty of clothing in daily living, and the desire to elevate the wearer’s unique style. The brand’s mantra “Let’s chin up with Chin Down”, an uplifting message to hold your head up high. The Korean streetwear label has grown in fame and reputation over the past two years, as K-pop idols and other celebrities have been spotted wearing various pieces from the brand.
The brand’s debut collection, “wait, walk, photo”, was unveiled in Spring and Summer 2019 featuring relaxed styles, bright colors, and thought-provoking yet playful text graphics. Chin Down has since released seasonal collections, and along with their online store, the brand has hosted pop-ups with art installations across the country. Chin Down is known as a cultural cross-section of fashion and art, expressing an appreciation for the charm and complexity found in day-to-day life.
Chin Down creates clothing that is easy to wear, from simple t-shirts to stylish button-downs, cardigans, trousers, and more. Each season brings in accessible basics such as their signature hoodies, oversized button-down shirts, cardigans, and accessories to pull together an ensemble.
The latest collection maintains the brand’s creed of personal style. The FW21 line-up named “Les Yeux Leisure” includes a variety of soft textures from faux fur to fleece pieces made in anticipation of the cold season. Suitable for layering, and with comfort in mind, this collection will definitely have something for everyone.
